As most summers do, this year’s flew! We have been unusually quiet on social the past couple months, but we have been hard at work behind the scenes. July and August have been especially busy this year as some COVID restrictions were lifted, new safety protocols went into place, and we returned to sets, both in studio and on location. With fall approaching, we want to catch you up on what we have been up to!
Gerber
We wrapped a few projects with Gerber in anticipation of their website rebrand, refresh and relaunch. Included in that was a new brand video - one of our first projects back on set (back in July). We kept to strict safety guidelines, building out a full bathroom set in our studio, hired a real family for talent, and even utilized Zoom to virtually have clients on set. The website recently launched and the brand video unveiled. Check it out here:
Maddog Strong Foundation
Talks with the Maddog Strong Foundation began back in March, so everyone was more than ready and excited to get on set in August to kick off production. This summer, we completed four days of production with the Foundation, including two days at Gift of Hope, an organ procurement organization that coordinates organ and tissue donation, where we got to see behind-the-scenes at the organization and learn about the donation/transplantation process.
Queue Brand Communications/National Beef
Need to shoot in a grocery store during COVID? It’s going to happen when the store is closed - cue an overnight shoot! Then add in some creative studio shooting and utilization of outdoor restaurant space, and we’re in business.
Chicago Run
Like many organizations, Chicago Run postponed their annual Gala from May to October and transitioned it to a virtual format. We were already in the midst of production in late February/early March when offices and schools shut down, bringing production to a screeching halt. We used the following months to plan how to pivot the project and look for an opportunity to safely get back out and finish shooting. We picked up the final day of production last month and we have moved into post-production.
Western Golf Association/Evans Scholars Foundation
When the WGAESF found out they would have an opportunity to interview a handful of pro golfers at the 2020 BMW Championship, including the tournament’s defending champ, Justin Thomas, they called us immediately. With only a couple days to plan, coordinate schedules, and have crew go through strict COVID testing, we made it happen. A fun way to round out August!
Les Turner ALS Foundation
Another event going virtual, the Les Turner ALS Foundation’s annual Walk for Life won’t be held in person this year, but there will still be a celebration later this month! We partnered with them to capture and create some pre-recorded material to use during a live event celebration. This brought us out to Soldier Field as well as Northwestern Medicine to collect interviews and stories from various members of the ALS community.
You see? We HAVE been busy this summer, and we are so happy to be back on set doing what we love! While schedules have been adjusted and projects look a bit different, we are masked up and more motivated than ever to keep creating. We’re looking forward to an equally busy fall to follow!
