Welcome back to our Employee Feature series, where we give you a “behind-the-scenes” look at our team. This week’s Meet Motion Source will be featuring Jeff Bruninga, one of our Videographer/ Editors.
Jeff grew up in Jacksonville, IL and attended Millikin University in Decatur, IL. After graduation, he worked as a full-time Production Assistant. Shortly after, he traded in the Midwest for the West Coast, and moved to California. Jeff became an assistant editor for a theatrical advertising company, a runner, and a freelance editor for roughly two years before deciding to call Motion Source home. He started working at Motion Source in October of 2013. Like many of the Motion Source crew, his skills can be seen both on production sets and in the editing room. He is also the resident handyman, which makes him our go-to Grip on set. (A Grip is a rigging and lighting technician). But his love for video production stemmed from the cutting room as an editor. He enjoys the post-production process “because it’s similar to building something...you’re putting pieces together like a puzzle.”
Fun story from set: I like knowing that I built the money chair used in the promos Motion Source made for the Latin American version of "The Profit."
(You can check out the promo videos here: http://motionsource.com/tv-commercial-chicago-theprofit-history-channel/)
When he’s not at Motion Source: I enjoy seeing live music. Sometimes I build furniture.
Personal Mantra: Nothing is ever easy.
Favorite Movie: Top Gun.
